YES!
I have a connex full of proof. As part of my job for this deployment, I recieve packages from the States all the time with school supplies, stuffed animals for the kids, candy, and other items the Iraqi people can use.
The people of the US have been VERY gracious and giving and I thank them all!

Some do and some don't.
We have a lot of rhetoric and propaganda going on here both supporting and against our involvement in Iraq. It's hard to really know what is going on there from the perspective of the people living there.
Some of us fear we may be doing more harm than good. We have completely dismantled the government and we may simply have made it easier for an even worse regime to take hold.
Some of us understand the difficulty of transition in violent and extreme situations such as Iraq and hope and believe that what we are doing will help the people in the long run.
Some of us are too steeped in our own fear to care. Just as most Muslims are not terrorists not all Americans are bigoted against Islamic nations.
Personally, I think Islamic nations have it over us in that we have more bigots than Islam has terrorists. I also fear our compulsive need to fix the world in our image. We've tried before and succeeded in doing more harm than good. We assume our concepts of government are right for all people when we have problems with literacy, prisons, health care, poverty, and child murders equal to and, sometimes, greater than third world nations. We think we know what's best for everyone but can't figure out what is best for our own citizens.
I am an American and I do care what happens to the people of Iraq. I want them to be able to live their lives as they want, even if that is not what I would choose for myself. I want them to be able to live without constant fear of war and violence. I don't know how to make that possible but I do think the people of Iraq might have a better idea of that then the people of the USA.

I can not speak for the people of the USA. Nor can anyone else.
In every place there are people who solve all their problems with violence to living things and there are also people who are loving and brave and do not need to out of courage, compassion intelligence or any other higher functioning abilities the later lack.
Good caring people are not made or unmade by nations or laws; the USA is when you get down to it, just an imaginary line. Even in a Fascism you will always find good people who care. No one speaks for a people, just thinks they do.

No pretty much neither side cares. Liberals want to pull out and leave a hole in a torn country allowing the government to collapse.
Conservatives want to give them a permanent crutch so they don't feel bad about Haliburton taking anything that is worth while.
Okay so there is a few people who care about Iraq. Some of them are over there right now fighting for there rights. Dying for there rights.
Sad thing is, most Iraqis don't care about the people in Iraq, unless they are the same clan that is.

I don't think any one person could answer for a whole nation. Me personally, I care. I believe we sympathize and try to empathize. I feel hopeless and I'm just plain tired of hearing of all the violence. I have no control over my fellow man. The whole issue just makes me sad. I feel silly that I'm sad ppl are afraid to leave their homes in Iraq. They fear being blown up, kidnapped or maimed by the hands of their neighbors and even a small percentage of our troops
I believe We are ALL confused and misdirected....
I pray there is a solution.

We could give 2 shits about what happens to the people of Iraq. Our president is a lying scumbag who tries to convince us that this is for the good of us and the people of Iraq. That is just propaganda so that we won't feel bad for screwing up their country. Lets face facts, Saddam was an asshole!!!! He was cruel and heartless. but we got him he is dead and the country of Iraq is in ruins. They are not better off since he is dead. We need to get our troops out of there and let them sort out their own form of government and quit trying to push "democracy" on people until we figure it out ourselves. What makes our government that is only a couple of hundred years old think that it is better than those that have been around for thousands of years?

In a broad sense, yes. We want to set up a democratic government over there so it's more difficult for the good people of Iraq to be brainwashed into becoming terrorists.

Of course we do! We want to see Iraq become a free country and it's people become citizens of the world. But as long as they want to kill the infidels and live like animals, screw them. If they ever decide to live in peace and accept the rest of the world the world awaits with open arms.

Those people really like to blow themselves and others around them up. I'm tired of hearing about it and it's really nothing new. Everyday, I wake up and see some news about a suicide bomber. I used to care but what can I do about it? In short, no I don't care.
