layer charcoal, chunked coconut husk, soil. moist it with water, put some plants like those of bamboo family. also put some dried tree barks on it. try to be creative in decorating your forest, oops i mean your aquarium. it is suitable to some animals like hermit crabs or salamander, if you plan to put in some pet. just be sure to consult your local pet store for additional care instruction for those before putting them to your vivarium. enjoy!!!

How cool...I wanted to do this with a 180 gallon , and did with a 20 gallon recently. If you want a humid environment with plants I recommend a false bottom made with egg create to allow water to drain. Layering gravel and adding plants, rocks and driftwood for dimension and places to hide. This website has step by step views of what I'm describing.

a couple of suggestions...whatever you decide to put in your tank..if you have reptiles that is going to be in it...make sure that any plants..is compatible to them..you don't want to put anything in there that will sicken or kill them ....as far as putting wood chips ,bark or a branch....make sure it has been cured....don't ever put fresh in it.....any sap or fungus left in or on the bark could harm them....if you are planning to put a small water feature in your tank..make sure it is not deep enough to drown them.....your best bet is to check out some pet stores and find out what they have and start getting an idea on what you want in your tank ....
good luck in making your mini jungle...
