What if's are not very productive, but you still deserve an honest answer to your question, so I'll give you my thought:

If Gore had been if office and 9/11 had still happened, Gore probably would have done the same thing Bush did regarding Afghanistan. However, since he would have been coming from the ranks of Congress, one can assume that Gore would have made his case to the American people much stronger than Bush did, meaning that he would have made sure the American people knew for certain that he was doing the right thing and going after the right people.

I do not think Gore would have seen any reason to invade Iraq, however.

Since Gore sees himself as a champion for the environment, one could safely assume that he would do everything he could as President to reduce our dependence on petroleum products, both domestic and foreign.

However, unless he did something really spectacular during his first term, or the Republicans found a real idiot to run against him, the chances that he would have been re-elected in 2004 are, I believe, slim.

Although you didn't ask, I would like to start with the fact that I don't believe that it was a Republican conspiracy that screwed up the election in 2000 - I believe it was a flawed system and a desire to come up with the quickest solution possible. That said, I'll move on...

I'm not a huge Gore fan, as I don't think that he presents himself as a strong and fearless leader. (Not that George is a good representation either, but thats a completely different question...) I do believe, however, that American troops would have been more commited to Afghanistan, and perhaps, Bin Laden would have been caught. Certainly, there would be no American involvement in any kind of crisis is Iraq. Perhaps the democratic restoration process would have been focussed on Darfur instead...but who knows... I do believe, however, that the US would have been a world leader in discussions regarding Global Warming...instead of the follow behind, dragging its feet country that it has been in this process. I would like to think that alone would have made a difference in the international opinion of the country. And definitely, there would be greater advances made in alternative fuels and more efficient vehicles.

Thanks for the thoughts....

In 2000 a president became no longer elected he became chosen and confident this u . s . could have been greater effective off. Gore might have paid interest to each thing and can have examine the memo sent by making use of the fbi and 9-11 will possibly on no account have befell. meaning no conflict in Afghanistan and no clarification for any form of conflict in Iraq. policies might have remained in place so banks and companies does not have failed. Then in 2005 the damn could have been accomplished and over 10,000 lives could have been stored after the national look after might have moved in to evacuate all of us some days until now hurricane katrina.

America will still get 9/11 and Gore wouldn't know what to do since he wouldve depleated the rest of the military. He would then have the US surrender to Al Qaida and have OBL be the secretary of state. We would then burn down church and set up mosque and bow down to Alah. English would be the second language to Arabic. Women would be wearing black curtains all the time. Gays would be exterminated. Gore would then do what OBL tells him to do.

The world would be better because electing Democrats solves global warming. We wouldn't even need to reduce carbon emissions, since Democrats (in power) absorb carbon dioxide to such a high degree that global cooling might become a danger. In that case, we can always elect Republicans to maintain the earth's balance.

Instead of complaining about all the racist Bush appointees, I would be complaining about racist Gore Appointee, like Warren CHristopher. He told the people of Vietnam that they should drop their old culture and take up the American Way. I don't mind telling Mexican immigrants to respect our culture, but its plain wrong to insinuate that our culture is better than another in their own homeland.

Allowed is right. He didn't have the votes to do it. Everybody in the world did the recounts. Even the New York Times stated Bush won.

We would not even be here in a stable condition right now. Al Gore is a sick lunatic that needs to undergo a mental evaluation, to see if he's even fit to stand civil trial for his Internet-inventing and global warming lies that he has perpetrated.

In recent times, the man has also become a fat porker while sitting around spewing all of his ridiculous crap.

I can't stand that guy, and any person who likes him needs to go into mental asylum along with him.

Oh yes, I almost forgot - he also tried to steal the election you reference by manipulating the system and recounting votes in liberal Democrat infested counties in Florida.

we don't know because all politicians are
the same, they tell you what you like to hear
and when they win ,they ask themselves,
now,what should I do to be Re-elected
for another term ? what should I do for
my legacy ? they never think of you or me!
In America we have one party with
two different names...it's a dilemma !

Possibilities:

Someone would've taken him out.

Some other Republican would've won in 2004.

Republicans would still control the House and Senate.

Liberals wouldn't have anyone to blame.
