Well for starters, the chinese words in your avatar literally means "king of the country", but it usually used as king.
I guess cause its fascinating? The chinese words represent something mystical and unknown, its like having something that not many people have nor understand.
its just...intriguing.

People tattoo chinese words on their bodies because their writing is literally an art form and like you said, people are facinated with the stuff! Unfortunately, I don't know what your avatar means either.

I would never tattoo anything in chinese on my body..who knows that is what it really means (I have 1 friend that got a tat that meant something completely differant in arabic). I don't think I would get any symbol. I'll stick to my dragons and gargoyles

Not sure what yours means but as for the other I don't know why everyone else does it but mine has meaning...and it is alot more beautiful than just tatooing the word...also the tatoos most peole get are kanji instead of japanese

a tattoo artist/buddy of mine says the most popular chinese tattoo translates to "mu shu pork". i have to take that at face value. unfortunately, i cannot read your avatar.
i'm thinking of going "tribal" myself. anyone happen to know the "tribal" symbol for Fredricks??? lmao!
