There are actually three hotels near Pioneer depending on which end of Pioneer you are coming from:
NEW HORIZON HOTEL

right across EDSA fronting Robinsons Pioneer
the internet price states USD 40 but they have a banner infront of them now that says P950 net per person for twin sharing
THE LEGEND VILLAS

this one is right across the Globe Telecom building a few meters from the Robinsons Pioneer intersection along EDSA. relatively newly renovated, they give you the feel of the Spanish era.
ASTORIA PLAZA HOTEL

this one is on the other end of Pioneer, a few meters from the Shaw - Pioneer intersection. this seems to be the nearest to ortigas center because you can practically walk to it. they also offer summer weekend packages, so its best to inquire

I suggest New Horizon Hotel in Boni Ave, Mandaluyong City. It's actually just across Robinson's Pioneer mall and it's very near Ortigas Center. It's also a short walk from the MRT Station (Boni). I think their lowest rate is just 1,900. Shouldn't be more than 2K. Hope this helps!

The Legends Hotel is right on Pioneer (just before you enter the Boni tunnel). Yup, it is reasonably priced. Yes , it is near ortigas center (about 5 minutes w/o traffic).

I would best reccomend PRINCE INN HOTEL as this is very close to Pioneer but not far from ORTIGAS CENTER...

new horizon hotel is good. that's across robinsons pioneer and can be reached by bus since it's located along edsa.
they've got enough parking, wide rooms,good airconditiong,service, hot and cold water,and a nice view of edsa and boni.
they've got b&b's too.

try prince inn hotel its in BONI avenue just cross edsa then you will be in pioneer or try the manor hotel its at the back of globe bldg. and located along pioneer street
