what computer program can you use to design the front cover and lay-out for a magazine?

The best programme actually depends on the user. In my opinion, the best programme to design the coverpage (and anything in printing) is CorelDraw (better is version 11). However, if you are new to this programme, it may take some time (a few days) to learn to use it well.

If however, you are not familiar with CorelDraw, i would suggest MSWord. MSWord has a number of superb facilities in it that you can use to desing many things. If used properly, MSWord can bring great results.

I myself am a computer operator in a private shcool in India, and i have made the prospectus of the school. I am also making the website of the school. (www.chitrakoot.net).

To design the front cover of a magazine you need a designing software like Photoshop and Corel Draw. These are professional softwares and you need a proper understanding to use them.

There are many programs out there.. I haven't publish a book in a while but i Used Adobe pagemaker in my day. But MS publisher 2007 is available. however I still like Pagemaker 7. Adobe just came our with InDesign CS2 very good tool. there is their combo package. " Creative Suite 2.3" everything in one package

it could selection. The editor consistently has the terrific say and could make certain what photos, words and colorings would be used. some editors/reporters have image layout skills and could layout the hide from scatch themselves (at the same time with editors like me!) whilst others will pass their suggestions over to a image artist to place the terrific hide at the same time.

Quark XPres or Adobe Indesign if you want to do it right...
