Why can't we use marijuana wast to make fuel? It grows fast and can be growen easly in most states. This could be away for each state to beable to sastain it's self, cutting down aon the coast to all of us and it wouldn't be cutting into our food supply or that of other countrys.

Thank you CS, for clearing this up for the ignorant prophaganda spewing brainwashed fools!!! Hemp does not get you high. Hemp is better than any other crop for usable plant material per acre, and it can be grown quickly and easily. However, hemp is illegal because the DuPont company did not want the competition in the 1930s when they came out with their patents on products that can be made from hemp cheaper and cleaner, like paper. And so it is, marijuana is scapegoated in order to outlaw hemp, so one corporation can get super rich. Damn you Anslinger.

Hemp would be the plant you are looking to grow for fuel. It differs from marijuana in that it contains virtually no THC...the stuff that gets you high. Unfortunately, hemp was outlawed along with marijuana and so its many and varied legitimate uses are, well, useless. Using hemp for food, fuel, textiles and paper would be a better alternative since hemp is fast growing, cheap and renewable.

Hmm.......didnt know you could make fuel outa hemp....i think corn grows better and you have to worry about people stealing it out the feilds
