i quit drinking in 89. quitting cigs this april 22. am going on wellbutrin on 3-22. hoping it helps. any other suggestions? btw: i also drink coffee but ain't givin That up PLEASE help... Thx in advance to all

I quit smoking in 1971, but allowed myself an occasional cigar for several years. In 1977 I smoked a cigar that I tasted for the next three days and that was my last one.
Best way to quit smoking, if you can do it, is cold turkey. Get rid of everything you associate with smoking. Lighters, ash trays, cigarettes, cigars, pipes. Take it one day at a time.
I still drink coffee and I still like an occasional beer. I just don't associate smoking with either of these other two preferences.
Good luck to you. The main thing is you have to really WANT to quit. And, if you don't make it stick the first time you try to do it, try again. Keep trying. You'll make it.

Try putting biscuit sticks in the smoke box and eat it whenever you feel like smoking.

I have no idea b/c I never smoked but I sure hope you can do it. I've heard it's really hard so good luck.

i had stopped until i was really upset so my advice is to make sure that when things get tough you still don't light up . now that i know this causes me to relapse i will try harder next time. don't give up
