You need to learn how to float after the dive, then a simple breast stroke so you can get back to the side of the pool to climb out. and remember to take a deep breath BEFORE you hit the water.

absolutely not. you hafta be able to swim to even learn how to dive. dont even try to do this course. once they see you cant swim they will seriously kick you out of the course

The answer is no! you need to know how to swimm, and you will enjoy diving much more aswell, some dive center do take people without checking if they know how to swimm, just dont do that! first learn to swimm and then learn to scuba dive.
take care

technically you could but i dont believe they would let you. usually, u dive in very deep pools so its understood that they expect you to be able to come out of the pool on your own and not drown.

it is techniquely possible but not recomended. Your confidence in the water will be greatly affected and in the case of an emergency you could easily drown.

If you intend to be PADI certified, then you need to be able to swim 200m in any stroke. Check it out www.padi.com
