They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder. Do you think this is true? My boyfriend and I are always breaking up and getting back together. We have been together for 4 years and he hasn't asked me to marry him, (mostly because of the on and off again) I wonder if this time if I hold out for a ring if it would work. Has anyone you've broken up and they came back to you and changed so it worked out? Is it possible that he will really miss me so much that he would do anything?

Let me ask you this question... If you go to the fridge take out the milk take a big drink and the milk is sour... you stick the milk back in the fridge come back a day a week a month even a year later.... Is the milk still sour?

It can be done the working it out with an ex but its soooo RARE that it actually works its usually a waste of time so unless you just have your heart set on only this man move on you will be happier in the long run.

I ahve tried this before and it hasn't worked. Sometimes you need to just let it go and stop beating a dead horse. Think of it this way - while you guys are doing this whole break up thing and getting back together - you are missing out on some potentially great people!

Every couple situation is different when it comes to breaking up, so what works with one couple may not work for another. So, this is something you need to pay attention too and do what will be good for you. Whatever you do, do not give your b/f an ultimatum, because this would back fire in the end which may not be good.

Honey you're not gonna believe me but I did the same thing and I'm doing it now. We broke up over 100 times in 4 years. Then we moved in together to see if we could make it work. Biggest mistake of my life.

There's a reason you break up so much. I refused to see it. Please don't waste any more time like I did and make the mistakes I did.

Please find someone who will adore you and respect you, and who cannot wait to marry you. You deserve it.
