I'm from USA and i'd like them in english.
the roots we are assinged are VERy hard to find, form what i've found. i have not been able to find them anywhere. searched every site for a couple pages of Google.
I'd like them to have example words along with them.
Some good roots to have would be:
-erg/urg (work)
-nau (ship)
-ido (form, shape)
-rod/ros (to gnaw)

Thank you.

I made up my own list for my advanced placement students.

I had a list of prefixes, suffixes and roots that I found in an old lab manual. Then I searched the dictionary for words using them.

I also took words from my subject matter (chemistry and physics) and broke the words down. I then used those prefixes, suffixes and roots to add to my list.

I don't have that list here at home, it is at school. I would be happy to share it with you if I knew how to get it to you.

Just google "Latin & Greek" prefixes/suffixes/roots and you'll get several websites that have complete lists and tables.
