In PHP, in the US:

//Data for message
$mailTo = "6015551234@sprintpaging.com";
$mailFrom = "myweb@yourdomain.com";
$mailFromName = "John Doe";
$mailSubject = " SMS Note";
$mailMessage = " Hi friend, this is a message.";

// Send mail
mail($mailTo, $mailSubject, $mailMessage, "From: $mailFromName <$mailFrom>\r\n");
}

Instead of @sprintpaging.com, use a domain specified by the provider (see below). If you don't know it "@teleflip.com" will probably work.

T-Mobile: phonenumber@tmomail.net
Virgin Mobile: phonenumber@vmobl.com
Cingular: phonenumber@cingularme.com
Sprint: phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
Verizon: phonenumber@vtext.com
Nextel: phonenumber@messaging.nextel.com

where phonenumber = your 10 digit phone number

Some of these may be old as they change periodically.

OK, I sent an SMS to someone in Thailand who uses DTAC as her mobile carrier, which according to the tutorial that someone posted earlier, is a carrier that can receive Yahoo SMS. The first SMS went through. My friend didn't know what it was so she deleted the SMS. Now when I try sending her another SMS, I get this response: "The message was not delivered to [name inserted]. Phone number xxxx cannot receive text messages at this time." Is there a way around this so that I can send an SMS?
