I have heard a lot about Per Chloro Ethylene and am curious as to how the dry cleaner neutralizes it or otherwise ensures that it does not stay in your clothes

13 Years Dry Cleaning EXP
38 Years Family EXP

Perchloroethyene or PERC will evaporate if left open, when exposed to heat it evaporates even faster. Dry cleaning machines are designed to dry the clothes and evaporate all the PERC out. If you drink bleach you may die. But it is in every household in the world. PERC and Dry cleaners have gotten a bad rap over the years. Mainly because of miss use and uneducated users. They have tried linking PERC to cancer for years. In the past 30 years there is not one proven case that someone has gotten or died from cancer related to PERC. Many things we come in contact with every day can be considered carcinogenic but that doesn't mean you will get Cancer from it. My father smoked since he was 13years old at his peek he was 4 to 5 packs a day while running his dry cleaning business. He's 67 years old no Cancer ???? Many things can be bad for you do they all make you sick or cause death??????

The fluids used in "dry" cleaning are either rinsed out with a completely volatile solvent, or are such solvents themselves. That means they will completely evaporate and there will be no residue left on the clothes when you get them back.

How do you know that they actually do neutralize it? I bet someone somewhere at some point will link it to cancer.
