i would like to know if you get hurt in nigeria and are taken to the hospital do you have to pay all the money before they release you from there or can you pay some and then pay the rest later

From what I understand, they release you but may confiscate any properties you have by means of a lien... they do not hold you.

Also, I am referring to private hospitals not public ones...

Medical fees must be paid before being released from a hospital because there is no guarantee that a patient if already released. Payment of bills is valid under the law since the service was already rendered.
