There are many effects. Studies show that children without a father figure often are involved in more crime, do worse in school, etc.
BUT that is NOT always the case. Many kids do well with or without a mother/father figure in their life.

I was raised by my grandparents because my parents were too selfish. I didn't miss a thing growing up, but once I was grown and realized how selfish my parents had been, it became a sore spot for a while. I finally realized that I had to let it go because it wasn't hurting anyone but me!

a bit hard question for me. there's a lot effects. okey i'll cite one. your life would be in a trash because if there's no one to guide you, you'll not be able to know the right nor wrong unless guided by your parents.

the positives are you dont have to listen to them put s*** on the other & you dont have to decide who to spend holidays like christmas with.
