You are looking at things from a precarious standpoint. You know that 911 was an inside job. So you know that Al Qaeda was utilized in a covert black op to facilitate the current regime's plans for a permanent military presence in the middle east. There fore your question my dear friend is mute.
The big question is when are we going to realize that the military industrial complex has bit us much like Eisenhower warned in his farewell address.

Maybe so. But we don't win wars based on foot soldiers, we only use foot soldiers to "hold" ground. And we're training them in counter-insurgency, not strategic military function. Unless we plan to be insurgents in Iraq, our counter-insurgency tactics won't do them any good against a real army, air force, or navy.

Not Al Qaida so much. The typical Iraqi hates Al Qaida as much as he hates the Militia. They just want peace. By training the Iraqi Army, we can potentially negate any influence Al Qaida may have in Iraq.

The weapons and expertise being fought by the US troops were learned from Americans by Iraqis that were used against the Russians. Iraqis learned a lot from the Americans and it is the reason that they cannot be suppressed.
