1. the property of plants to grow towards light is phototrophism.
2. the directional growth of the plants depending upon the availability of light is called phototrophism. there are 2 types- positive phototrophism where plants grow towards light and negative phototrophism where it grows against light.
3.ethylene is simplest alkene with formula C2H4. it when polymers forms polythene. ethylene can act as plant hormone whih helps in ripening of fruits etc.
4. gravitropism where plants grow against light and towards gravity. roots are gravitropist.

number two isthe anwer to number 1. number three i don't know, look in your book, or do a web search. and number four is a growth response involving gravity. there is a possitive gravitropism and a negative gravitropism. tropism means growth response. photo means light. gravi means dealing with gravity.
