If you like Euro bands, check out bands like Blur and or their former member Graham Coxon. There are plenty more, like the "catchy" Maximo Park, or the more mainstream Coldplay. As for techno, there are many generes...like house, dance, tribal, ect. Some of the more popular techno music would be things from Enya. What I like to do is search movies which had good techno soundtracks and search their soundtracks (such as The Matrix).

Honestly this just depends on what you like which you did not specify a general category of music so I'm going to assume that you like a wide range/variety of music and in general want a basic list of popular songs to download onto your iPod.
