As soon as somebody criticizes Bush and Republicans, dittoheads conservatives will start ranting about how the person hates America, loves terrorists, is the enemy from within, blah, blah, blah.

You didn't see Dems accuse Repubs of being traitors when they said this about Clinton's Kosovo War:

“You can support the troops but not the president”
-Representative Tom Delay (R-TX)

“[The] President…is once again releasing American military might on a foreign country with an ill-defined objective and no exit strategy. He has yet to tell the Congress how much this operation will cost. And he has not informed our nation’s armed forces about how long they will be away from home. These strikes do not make for a sound foreign policy.”
-Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA)

“Explain to the mothers and fathers of American servicemen that may come home in body bags why their son or daughter have to give up their life?”-Sean Hannity, Fox News, 4/6/99

“Bombing a sovereign nation for ill-defined reasons with vague objectives undermines the American stature in the world. The international respect and trust for America has diminished every time we casually let the bombs fly.”
-Representative Tom Delay (R-TX)

“Victory means exit strategy, and it’s important for the President to explain to us what the exit strategy is.”
-Governor George W. Bush (R-TX)

“This is President Clinton’s war, and when he falls flat on his face, that’s his problem.”
-Senator Richard Lugar (R-IN)

“I cannot support a failed foreign policy. History teaches us that it is often easier to make war than peace. This administration is just learning that lesson right now. The President began this mission with very vague objectives and lots of unanswered questions. A month later, these questions are still unanswered. There are no clarified rules of engagement. There is no timetable. There is no legitimate definition of victory."
-Tom Delay (R-TX)

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
- Benjamin Franklin

To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile but is morally treasonable to the American public."--President Theodore Roosevelt

"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

"If everybody is thinking alike, then nobody is thinking."

the two sides have their stupid little "taking part in cards" that they play. that's all gotten previous and fairly annoying to observe. This coming from somebody who has stopped taking part in the two area's sport. that's all obfuscation. slightly equivalent to the scene in "the terrific Little Whorehouse In Texas", the place the new child-kisser explains his sport to the sheriff together with his little track and dance... actually. humorous! Vote me a undesirable answer to close me up! How humorous and concurrently pathetic! seems to me somebody thinks their social gathering is powerful, no count what, and people who're courageous sufficient to call the two sides for their crap are considered because of the fact the enemy. i do no longer choose your pathetic political sturdy previous persons golf equipment to be an American or a patriot.

The Republicans use the treason card because they have no justification but "my country, right or wrong."

They stole the election, so they can't complain about thieves; they lied about WMDs, so they can't complain about falsehood; they outed Valerie Plame, so they cannot argue about betrayal.

What else is left but wrapping themselves in the flag, putting their fingers in their ears and singing the Star Spangled Banner?

They listened to people on TV telling people if they didn't agree with the President, they were un-American. That's all they know how to say. They cannot think for themselves...

It's typical of their one dimensional thought - black and white, good or bad, with us or against us. They're built this way, their entire emotional makeup doesn't allow them to be thoughtful or accepting of ambiguity.
