I would suggest ..
"hoc facere non iam possum, nam difficile est etiam spirare "
~ I can no longer do this, for it is difficult even to breathe..

"non diutius" is also possible for "non iam" if you are referring to a situation where a long time has already passed.

"spiramentum" is not a Classical prose word for breathing, more like a breathing space or air hole.
