In hockey, if you exaggerate contact, you get a penalty and your team is punished. In basketball, you go flying through the air after a bump on the chest, and you're rewarded. Shaq, the "Most Dominant Ever" sits out for a hurt big toe, hockey players play with broken feet, broken ribs, dislocated shoulders, etc. And what about the Carmello slap and run? These guys talk about how tough their neighborhoods were, but they don't seem to tough themselves. Funny, these Canadian farm boys are alot tougher

Very very true.

Same rolls with football (although they're not as exposed), but football players have the same grudge against soccer players.

The problem is that basketball players don't wear pads and their sport demands more in agility especially since you get a foul for just touching the guy with the ball. In hockey, the whole point is to either body or poke check the guy with the puch in order to take it from him. Rugby's the same way only you get penalized if you hold onto the ball after taking a direct tackle.

And when was the last time you saw a hockey player get paid tens of millions as well as receive tons of marketing and apparel contracts? Just doesn't happen in the NHL. Then and again you have guys getting in trouble for carrying guns in the NBA much more than you do in the NHL. Why? Tell me, who's more intimidating: a basketball player or a hockey player?
