I thought it would be pretty cool to have a couch outside, but the dumb trash collector stole it and now it is gone? Is there any way I can get it back?

Lily, go away! Oh, and by the way, when using quotation marks, commas and other punctuation go inside the quotation marks!

I'm surprised they took your furniture. Our trash company makes us call a head of time to have such large pieces picked up. Now that it has gone into the trash, seek a new couch!

Nope. But just drive around on the next "Big trash day" untill you find one. There will be several.

Try craigslist. Click on the "free" button. People are always giving away couches.

technically, you could sue the garbage collector for conversion since he has effectively destroyed your property. There are two problems though, one, your couch probably wasn't worth enough to make it worth your while since it was outside, and two, the garbage collector probably has some sort of immunity from any such liability.

You sure it was the trash collector and not your neighbors?
Somehow some people find that living room furniture ruins the ambiance of the neighborhood. I don't understand it myself.

Nope; and you probably wouldn't want it back considering where it has been and the way it would smell. You also might want to check with the city in which you live most have ordinances against having things of this nature certain distances from the street.

Be thankful they carted it away. It obvious they thought it was trash. There is something called "patio furniture", buy some.
