There's a boy in my classes who continuously calls me fat. I'm tall and slender, a gymnast, but still unsecure about my appearance. Guys, why does he do it? SOme say he's flirting, but I think he would know better than to call me fat. Ecspecially when I don't laugh.

Some guys that the only way they know how to flirt. These are the guys you need to stay as far away from as possible. Guys that will insult you at first it will always get worse. You wont to get him off your back, bring a pair of tweezers and and thimble and tell him this is for safe sex. Make sure there is alot of people around when you do it. Most would say ignore him, you cant do this or it will just get worse. You have to put him back in his place to shut him up. Good Luck

Well, this must feel degrading. You may have to consider his age and the stage in growth and development he is in which may not be where he should be. Since you probably react even just a look is a reaction. A bad reaction for him is better than nothing. Another possibility is that his father is condescending to his mother and she loves her husband, so he believes this type of interaction should work. You do have options. One would be to ignore him. He will try harder and harder before giving up or you can confront him privately and tell him that it would be cool if he would address you in a more positive way. To this he could act more like a jerk in an unexpected not thought out reaction. Or you can confront him with the same idea in front of others. Even if he acts inappropriately, he will embarrass himself in front of others and back off in the future. Whether is is flirting, envious, or even jealous this behavior is unacceptable and if his negativity escalates he may be a candidate for harassment charges. Some people don't comprehend right from wrong. Even if you just file a police report, there will be a paper trail that could help you in the future should he get really out of hand. This is just the worse case scenario. Use your good judgment as to what is your best option. Things will get better. Safety first.

Some people think it's funny to tease others like that...and a lot of them don't know when the joke has gone too far. Maybe you could start a rumour that he stuffs his shorts to compensate for a certain lack? Your best option is to assume that he's just a jerk - even if he does think he's flirting. After all, who would want to go out with someone with such disregard for others' feelings?
You sound great - I've always had a thing for tall, fit, well-muscled women. Who wants scrawny?

just ignore him. he's probably one of those annoying guys that can't shut up and is insecure about himself too. I don't think it really means anything... but seriously if you're a gymnast it doesn't matter how "fat" you are it goes to show you have muscles to lift up all of your "fat" so they can stick that in their pipe and smoke it... next time just kick him...

dont know why he would do it but you need to tell him to stop being an @$$ and knock the sh*t off. find some unappealing thing about him and keep pointing it out until he gets the hint you dont like being called fat....
and dont forget there is the P.H.A.T.(pretty hot and tempting) version..... dont think he means it that way do ya?

IGNORE him and if he comes to know that he successfuly irritates you then he would never stop telling you that you were fat.
And spend some more time in Gymnasium, you do need to lose those extra pounds.

Gymnasts tend to have huge thighs and calves, broad shoulders and man hands. Are you sure youre tall and slender?
