Yeah. . . I know I should know how to do this but I've never done it before and can't figure it out/don't want to take an hour reading in my microsoft office bible (1400 pages long OUCH!) I want to paste my resume and accompanying reference letters to a web site to apply online. I appreciate all legitimate answers as well as smart azz answers that are funny! Thank you for your time.

Firstly. if you use MS Word, save it as webpage or .html or .htm file. Then register an acount in Yahoo! Geocities. Then Upload your webpage into geocities. Afterwards right click on View, click Properties, and copy the url (http://file.html). Then give that url to anyone who you want them to view it.

Hmmm.... ok, first of all when applying online, most sites have a "resume upload" tool where you can upload your resume in .doc format. If you don't have that option, then make sure that your resume has ALL office special formatting removed (i.e. bullets, numbering). Then insert your cursor before the first letter of the document (the beginning). Scroll down to the end of the resume, hold down your SHIFT key, and click at the very end. This will highlight the entire document. Then hold down the CTRL key and type C. This is commonly known as CTRL + C. This will copy all of the text. Go to the web page and insert your cursor into the section where you want to paste the text. Then hold down CTRL and type V. This is CTRL + V. This will paste.

One way is to copy your resume from MSWord to FrontPage (normal view). Then you can get the coding of the resume in html view, which you can use in your website.

Otherwise you can upload you word file (resume) via ftp or frontpage (resume.doc) which will be a downloadable file with a link you give on a site.

yet another solution is to save you Word file as a web page (save as --> html document), which will be a page, to which you can give a link in you website.

If nothing works, you can manually re-make you resume in a free web-hosting site like tripod.lycos.com, and give a link to it in your website.

You either email it to them or upload it somewhere and give them a link.
