I would think that they do have strong inhibitions and that leads to their introversion.
Am I misunderstanding the question?

Introverts understand extroverts but extroverts can't understan introverts. We are the minority so it is our obligation.
I feel physically and emotionally drained from social situations. Even after just spending a few hours with a friend, one friend, once during a week I need a few days to myself.
I'm not terribly inhibited. I have no problem speaking my mind, I'm, actually, more spontaneous than most extroverts I know, and, from what I can tell, I'm more confident than most extroverts (if not all!) that I know.
I don't have a strong sense of inhibition, I believe, because I have had to learn to assert my own needs as an introvert in a world full of extroverts. I've been called a snob for not being appropriately social. I can stand up to that without denying my own needs or those of others.
Introverts who are uninhibited are so because we do learn to be confident in ourselves when so many tell us we are somehow wrong.

Probably from the simple fact that the person is introverted. They are quiet and prefer to stay in the background in a group of people. They listen rather than speak. The extrovert is talking and laughing. I think just the extrovert personality type encourages inhibition while the introvert does not. It's just life. We aren't all the same. Nothing wrong with either personality type. They are just different.

They have more inhibition, but being introverted their perception may not be delicate enough to observe certain external lines, such as what is appropriate and in appropriate in many cases. So it will appear that they have no inhibition on their behavior, on the contrary they do, but they are putting it at a place that doesn't always agree with other people or things.
