Hey!! I've seen these headlights on some cars (mostly Trucks), where the area around the Bulb in the Headlight is Blue in Day Light. I was wondering what kind of Bulb that would be.

I saw an S-10, and a Silverado Truck with these kind of Lights.
And it is the Bulb that does this, and these are NOT Custome Headlights!! Just Factor Headlights, with different Bulbs in them!

I like how they look, and I was wondering where I could get lights like that!! : )

Automotive Places are being Dumb-asses, and Telling me that its the Salvania Cool-Blue. I have Cool-Blue Lights, and they are WHITE, not Blue!!!!

I DONT mean Blue when they light up, I mean BLUE when they are NOT lit in Broad Day-light!! Is there Anyone that knows what I am Talking about??

Give me a Clue of Intelligence up in this Biatch!! ;)

I know what you are talking about. The Reason they told you Sylvania cool blue is because they have a blue coating; Although it's not dark enough to "reflect" the mirror area around the headlamp housing to give you a blue"inside" effect which is what you want. If you want that look, just look for a darker coated blue. BUT, There are 2 problems with blue coated bulbs. 1. Blue is a terrible color for lighting up things. In fact, yoy get less detail with blue. 2. The blue coated bulbs have thier wattage boosted sometimes because the blue is acting as a filter and they need to squeeze more light through. When you see that "blue" effect at NIGHT or newer or more expensive cars, its either a HID ( High Intesidty Discharge) light system or good Xeon bulbs, boh of which can have that "bright white/blue effect" Buld makers added blue filters to thier halogen bulbs to give everyday people that blue effect. I had to learn the hard way that the blue coated bulbs actually give off a little less light in return for that blue effect. Xeon and HID's give more light and conventional halogens give off the right ammoun of light as well, just not as intense. SO.. If you want that look in the daytime, you need to get blue-coated bulbs. I have the Sylvania cool blues myself but there are darker ones. Just remember that you may loose a lil brightness at night and it also depends of how reflective YOUR headlamp housing is.

Hope this helps!
