The "liquidy snotty stuff" is probably the mucous plug, which is a sign that labor should begin shortly. Though, it could be days or even weeks after you lose your mucous plug before labor actually starts. It does sound like labor is starting for you. I wish you luck!
Losing your mucous plug does NOT mean your water has broken....

If you have lost your mucus plug than there would be slight bleeding which comes from you dialating. If your water has broken you should go into the hospital immediately I don't know where some of these people get their answers by saying it can be weeks or months before you go into active labor after your mucus plug is gone because it only takes 24 hours after your water breaks for infection to set in that is usually why most women who have their water break in the middle of their pregnancies stay in the hospital and are usually put on medication to help with the possibility of infection. The baby is in the amniotic sac for a reason if a woman and the baby could be fine without the plug there would be no fluid and if there is an absence of that than why is that stuff there?

the snotty stuff is whats called the mucas plug, the closer to delivering the more it comes. just keep an eye on it to see if there is blood in it . that will be good indication of when you will start labor. also ive had five kids. the closer you get to havin them the more practice contractions youll get. just rest when u have this pain and try to relax . if your belly gets hard for a minute then eases its a contraction . if it just stays hard then its not a real contraction, just braxton hicks(practice). once you get the kind that eases after a minute and there is like ten or less minutes between them and this goes on for more than an hour then go to hospital. youll need to be checked. but dont be afraid to go though that is what they are there for . god knows they got tired of lookin at me i was there so much lol. hope this helps.

You are experiencing normal early contractions. They feel like cramps now because they are not the strong labor contractions that you will feel later. Those contractions are preparing your body for labor!!
The snotty looking stuff could possibly be your mucus plug. I'm not certain on that. If it were me, I would want to get that checked, but would just tell my obgyn at my next visit. (you are going weekly, right?)
Until then, take it very easy. Sit or lay down as often as you can.
Congrats on being so close. 36 weeks is in the safety zone to have a baby!!!!

I had the snotty mucus stuff too and within 24 hours I was having my baby, but you can lose your plug and not go into active labour for a week. Go to the hospital if you are in doubt, the worse that will happen is they check you and tell you to stay or go back home and wait it out. The best part is yet to come!

You can always go to the hospital if you feel like you need to be checked out. Its better to be safe then sorry and it will ease your mind. You might be dehydrated too, so try drinking some water and see if that helps you.
