I have never heard of gettin an infection from having intercourse while in your period... i have never got an infection and i know quite a few more females that have had intercourse while on there period and did not get an infection

Sex during a girl's period is completely safe and no more dangerous than sex any other time. If you're both alright with the action then go for it, but it may get messy (speaking from experiance with my girlfriend).

i'm not too sure if it can cause infections, but i've had sex on my period and i've had no infections..but yes, girls can have sex on their periods... and some, like me, feel it's more intense.

Like everyone else that has answered I will also say .. I haven't heard of anyone getting an infection by having sex during their periods.
And to those that say its gross.... grow up... a lot of women are at their horniest during that time. There is nothing wrong with having sex then (apart from the mess).
