find the magnitude and direction of force???

Question

2 forces 170lbs and 220lbs act on the same object at angles of 37 and 257 degrees

It would be nice to know if the direction of the forces i.e. is the 257 deg force actually pulling down and to the right...if so...here goes...

257 -180 = 77 deg

x: 170cos37 + 220cos77 = 102 + 49 = 151
y: -170sin37 - 220sin77= -135 -214 = -349

Magnitude = (151^2 +349^2)^0.5 = 380
Direction = 180 + invtan (151/349) = 203 degs
