Anyone else hoping for a KU and UNC championship game? It would be sweet revenge for us KU fans to beat Roy Williams in the NCAA championship game!!!

I know everyone has an opinion based on actual gameplay seen during the tournament. All I am talking about is a game that would satisfy a longing of beating Roy Williams, as I am sure most Kansas fans can relate. I grew up with Roy Williams at the helm of the Jayhawks and can also remember the controversy when he was thinking of leaving for UNC the first time. He decided to stay at KU that time only to leave a few years later.
Now the reality is that I still think that Kansas can get to the big game, but it will be tough. They need to wear down the defense of SIU by controling the tempo of that game. As for Florida, I think they were last years ball team and will fall short this year. USC looks like a good team too, as long as they don't go cold from beyond the arc. So it's anybody's ball game, I'm just saying that I would love to see a KU- UNC championship game.

no.....and i highly doubt it will happen too. i want it to be UF vs. Ohio State, and i think there is a good chance for that to happen. UF is most likely going anyway.

Kansas can beat Florida. Matter of fact Kansas DID beat Florida earlier this season by 2 in overtime. Kansas has one of the deepest benches I've seen in a long time and can turn the tables on you quicker then any team I've seen in this tournament. So I don't even think it's a question of whether or not Kansas can make it to the championship, because they can.

And with that being said, even without a "definite" inside presence, Kansas would kill UNC with their 3 ball and defense. A few perfectly orchestrated fast breaks, coupled with a some 3 balls, and you realize you were within 3 and now down 15. Just that quick. And just when you think you can make a comeback, they put 5 fresh legs on the floor to run you some more. UNC lacks the depth to keep up with Kansas. Should they play UNC like they came out shooting against Kentucky, the Tar Heels can pretty much hang em' up. And that was against a marquee Tubby team known for an incredible defense.

KU v. UNC would be a sweet championship game and i think it has a great chance of actually happening. Granted, So. Illinois UCLA and possibly Florida all in a row would not be easy for anyone, but if KU keeps playing the way they have, no one will be able to stop them. SIU's suffocating defense may slow them down for a while, but KU thrives against a man, which is what SIU runs most of the time. As for not having a "definite" inside presence, that's one of their strengths. They don't have one "definite" inside presence, they have several legitimate options in the paint. With so many options down low and so many 3-point threats that can also create off the dribble and defend like nobody's business, it seems the only team that can beat KU this year is KU. I like a Florida UNC matchup. I am looking forward to Carolina and Georgetown for a trip to the final four. I think Kansas Florida will be great too. Roy vs Kansas would be HUGE for a college hoops fan, but I think Florida will have an experience edge and eek out a tight one with Kansas. This is the best sporting event on the planet.

It would be sweet for them, but it's not going to happen. It's giong to be Florida and Georgetown (possible Kansas instead of FL). UNC will be lucky to get past USC (if they play as they did on Sunday) and they will NOT beat Georgetown!

i doubt kansas gets passed UCLA. hell i dont even know if kansas will breeze through southern illinois. the salukis play great defense and so does UCLA, so kansas will have a hard time getting to the finals.
North Carolina is too young and inexperienced, plus they wont get passed georgetown. nobody is going to stop roy hibbert inside and jeff green.
Ohio State just showed how vulnerable they were, they should have lost to xavier. OSU doesnt look sharp.
with that said, it will be a florida georgetown battle in which the experience of florida helps them win it all again.

I'm going with the best team nobody is talking about. How does a USC vs. UCLA championship sound? I know nobody thinks this possible but both of these teams bring their A game going up against the toughest opponents. They also have stingy defenses and can play explosive offense. Also effort is never a question with these teams. When you combine the best talents in the west (a place which is always very underrated), as well as the impact of a rivalry game, it makes for interesting matchup.

I don't think that's going to happen. BUT if it did, I'd do anything to see CryBoy Roy take it in the shorts at the hands of his old team.
