Well first in junior high i started feeling very submissive and extremely sensitive to emotions. I would either be REALLY happy or wanna kill myself, never in a normal mood. So after a few episodes i was checked into a mental hospital only for a week and half, i was diagnosed with bipolar...if u feel sadness and wanna cry for no reason, u may want to see and psychologist and they can help. Trust me. Im 85% better, but i have to continually take Depakote (mood stabilizer) and Zoloft(anti-depressent). When i miss a few days of either meds it's like having to start over again. it sucks, ive tried the no meds, but i really need it.

YOU DO NOT NEED DRUGS!!!!!
Sit and talk to someone you can trust, perhaps a friend, teacher. Depression affects everyone, often with no real reason. I get depressed sometimes. I can tell when "the mood", as my wife calls it, is coming and I've been able to stave it off for a while now. Once you realize something is wrong, it is much easier to deal with it. Take a walk in the park. Get a pet, the unconditional love is very therapeutic. I was once prescribed drugs for my condition, but when I was not emotional less, I got very depressed. I stopped taking them after about 2 months, and am now able to control my moods, 5 years later. I still get sad and it still hurts, but you can find ways to help. Of course I'm no doctor, and this is my personal experience, so get plenty of opinions.

I don't think your mother would feel burdened if you went to her for help.
Mothers always want what's best for their children.
It sounds as though you suffer from depression. I was in the psychiatric hospital for a week, and they gave me all these packets with all these mental disorders in them and all the information.

It could be post-traumatic stress maybe if something bad/serious happened recently, or if your subconscious triggered something that happened to you as a small child and you don't realize.

Worrying about getting help is part of the reason people never want to take care of their mental problems. (That sounds so bad... 'mental problems' but its not bad.)

It could also be depression set on by a chemical inbalance in the brain. If it started coming on for no reason, or nothing that you can find, that's most likely the reason. Even if you don't want to see a psychologist or counselor, you could go to your family doctor and more than likely they will be able to help you out.

My family doctor was the one to prescribe me with Zoloft and it has helped a lot.

If you get help sooner, the better off you are, but if you keep putting it off the problem could get worse and lead to bad long term effects or even suicide.

If you need someone to talk to there are a lot of support groups online, or even I can help you out!

You need to discuss your situation with a doctor, a professional. Things like depression can have serious consequences but can be fixed with proper treatment and it won't even hurt. You will like feeling better. Go to a real doctor, not a practitoner of quackery, not a mind reader or crystal gazer. Good Luck and Good Health

Perhaps you are depressed. Depression is a chemical imbalance and can be treated. You should talk to your mom or maybe a school counselor, there is help out there for you. Good Luck.

sounds like depression. Simple things that might help: cardio-excercise 3x a week, for at least 30 minutes, vitamin B supplements, and talking to friends.
