My best friend is a year older than me. She means the absolute world to me, as she is the one who has seen me through the roughest parts of my life. As the day approaches that I have to stand on my lawn and watch her drive away headed for college, I already begin to miss her. I want to give her a song about us and our friendship. The ups and downs, and the fact that we will always be apart of each other. Any recommendations? Please??

Take memories you have had together and find yourself a ryhthm. Possibly something like this:

You mean the world me
a senior is what youll be
thanks for all youve done
we had so much fun
i care alot about you
i hope our friendship will last forever
which means the end is never
we've been through thick and thin
our strories lie within
even though we''ve been friends from the start
i still keep you in my heart
well stay and keep in touch
you'll always be my friend
our joueneys won't ever end

well i hope you like it i just quickly made something up to help you. Good luck you can e-mail me at crazyjennarox@yahoo.com

It's a little old school, but "Lean on Me" was always special to me and my best friend. And "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" is also a great classic that fits very well with close friendship.

Anything country, when one of my best friends went to college a year ahead of me I made her a small care package of things she would need. I went to the dollar store and got a mini-sewing kit, decorated a mirror, made a collage of all our friends and just made a mix cd of all the songs we'd always jam out too. It was great, she loved it and when I went away to college she did hte same thing!

Give her a song with a memory of yall attatched to it, whether it was somthing yall danced to at prom, rocked out to in the car, it'll mean more htan just a random song.
