Malaysian Indian ; what and who are they ?

I've been posted to malaysia on a Traininng session -: heard there are Indians there but need to know about them

They are mostly from Tamilnadu and still have their temples and other typically tamil customs like "thypoosam", "karagam" and ofcourse "pongal". Naturally they are more attracted to tamil cinema and lot of fans for Rajnikanth,kamalahassan and ofcourse MGR etc.
The richest malaysian is a Tamil of indian origin. They have completely integrated with the multiracial malaysian society inspite of Poomiputra policy due to visionary policies of Tungu abdul Rehman and Mahathir Mohammed.
some illegal immigration still continues from chennai and so the malaysian authorities have stopped issuing visas on arrival to tourists from chennai only!!!!

Its Indians - about 10% ( about 2 million ) from the total malaysian population. Majority of these are the Tamils from south india - they maintain thier identity , culture and traditions of a typical Tamilian but as a malaysian - the rest from this include Telugus , sikh's and others.

Today the richest in malaysian are the Indian like AK and the poorest is also the indians. They are labbeled third class community there, especialy the tamils due to overwhelming pooverty.

Even in such a small group the Indians are the most in Professionalism career there , eg: medicine Indians are majority. But In crime and vandalism Indians are also number one.

I beleive the malaysian Indian comprises many divisions - I've seen majority Hinfu temples and Sikh Gudwara temples there -: I last toured this place about 3 years ago - the Indians there are nothing like the Indians in India.
