Instantly. My palentology teacher defined a fossil as anything that was once alive and is now dead, or was made by something that was alive and is now dead. Tonight's chicke bone is a fossil.

I guess 'we' meaning me and some other members could choke the life out of you and see about fossilizing you in amber for asking such a stupid ****** question. Thanks, where do I get my two minutes of life back?

Lemme see..you have to die first...it'll take a decade or so for you to fossilize...that is if the vultures don't eat your bones

Stay in one place for a very long time...die there...let earth and rocks fall on you....stay dormant for eons of time and eventually you will rot away and an indentation from your body will lay within the rock below you and on top of you....fossil
It takes eons and eons of time....
