If I saw through the tip of a bullett and pour liquid mercury inside, then seal it with candle wax. Will it really gaurantee a kill even if I miss and hit the target in finger instead of the neck or brain?

Good question.

I know heavy metal poisoning would take weeks or month to kill a person, thus it would not be immediate regardless.

I suppose it would be a question of:

Large enough dose

Point of entry (area rich in blood circulation to pull the
poison in/neck yes, toe no),

Whether or not the person got treated for poisoning (no one would think to treat for heavy metal poisoning).

I will give you a star for a good thought provoking question.

GOOD LUCK!

I hope you aren't planning this *lol* I would assume that it would induce heavy metal poisoning. The target would probably experience sever poisoning if the bullet remained in the body, such as a leg shot, or arm shot. If not, there wouldn't be enough mercury in the blood to poison. If it hit a finger, it would either blow the finger off, or deflect- either way I doubt it would provoke a kill.
