I've never been on a road trip all alone, but I want to go see my best friend.I think it could be liberating in a way.

Absolutely not. It's like going on a one hour trip six and a half times in a row.

Enjoy!

I've been making a 10 hour trip by myself several times throughout my 40's. It's become much nicer once I got a car with a DVD player and can listen to audio books. It's also all interstate highway with great rest areas.

Make sure you're well-rested and alert, have good maps of the area, and be sure to stop and stretch your legs at decent intervals. With added measures, such as a cell phone, membership in a road service, and an emergency kit in the car, driving long distances is just fine.

No. I think it would be fun for you to go. I've traveled that far with my infant then toddler son for his doctor's visits. Yahoo Driving Directions. I travel by them all of the time. Gets me where I need to go. Have a great time!

Honey, it's about time you do this! Go for it!
I have driven much further since I could drive, and have encouraged my daughter from the time she could drive .. she has driven all over the U.S. and is just 23!

And .. have a great time!!!

I think you'd have a great time! Stop when you want, eat where you want, blast whatever music makes you happy! Just use good judgement, don't gas up in any dimly lit places, and bring your cell phone.
Have fun!!!

Not at all!

Take a break when you need to clear your head of white-line fever and enjoy yourself.
