I really want my lip pierced, but I would like to know how long it will take for the swelling to go away and when I will be able to get back to doing everything normal again

2 weeks for swelling to totaly go away, 6 weeks befor you can make out with anyone (swap spit), then you still need to clean it very often. Make sure you get it done at a place that is medicaly certified otherwise the results could be very messy.

it all depends if you tend to swell alot when you get a bump in the head or any where for that matter than you will swell some and it will last about 1-2 weeks maybe longer Just be super carefull ice it take ibuprofen and dont bump it Avoid acidy and salty food dont play with it For me i swelled like 4 dayss and had no issues at all but i dont swell easy
Key is to sea salt soak it lots keep it clean dont play with it Watch the acid and salty food And ice and ibuprofen

First Pierce your Lip .
Then find it yourself the time it takes to heal it.
