I'm thinking of finally getting into WoW. I played some Everquest way way back when, and was disappointed by the amount of repetition and boring click-mine-click-kill tasks. But I love RPGs and online communities and WoW seems like the epitome of both.

So, what draws you to the game?

Having played EQ "way back when" does not give you insight on the way the game is today. There have been countless changes from Kunark to now. When WoW came out, many EQ players left to play WoW. Within 6 months, 75% of them came back to EQ. "Too many kids playing WoW" and "I couldn't deal with the immature antics" are some of the reasons I've heard over and over. I guess EQ appeals more to the mature gamer and requires skill, patience, and the ability to interact well with others to accomplish mutual goals whereas WoW requires just an internet connection and mommy's credit card information.

I have checked out WoW a couple of times and was never impressed with any aspect of the game. I have played EQ since late 2001 so I guess I am just set in my ways.

That it is based of of Warcraft3, one of the best strategy games out there. I like the fact of the huge explorable area and the ridable pets.

Cons: EXPENSIVE, and Guild Wars is pay once and play free and GWs graphics owns!
