I'm 13 and am trying to use tampons for the first time. The only thing is, the farther up the tampon goes, the more I feel like I'm going to throw up. I immediately have to stop, and so I haven't been able to use one yet. I have had my period for almost two years, and I feel ready to use tampons, but the nauseousness is discouraging me from using them. Does anyone know if this is normal and how to reduce this feeling? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm sure it's your nerves. I couldn't use a tampon until I was 30 years old because I just couldn't get myself to push it in. Try to relax (I know, easier said than done), and keep working on it.

I remember those times. It could be that you are not used to using them yet. Don't force it in too far. Only go till the ring on the applicator. It could also be that the tampon is too big for you. Have you considered going to a size smaller? if that doesn't work I would talk to your doctor about that.
Good luck!

You should not have to push it up so far, if you would guide it in the right way, once it get pass the entries of the womb it will close up and move up on it own. But if it make you fell like throwing up than you should not use them.

No it is not normal to feel nauseau when you are inserting a tampon. I would recommend talking to your mom as well as your dr.
