Do you have to have severe cramping? What if they are minor and come and go? Do you have to have bleeding? When people say the cramps would be getting worse, how quickly would they get worse?
Mine have stayed the same or even lessoned. No bleeding. Do you think this could be just normal early pregnancy cramps?

I DID GO TO THE DOCTOR! I just had my hormone levels checked again. I was at 246 and 48hrs later I was at 810. My cramps have subsided a lot. So I no longer think I am having an ectopic pregnancy. From what you all are saying...it sounds like they would get worse not better. Thanks for all your help.

Yes, you have severe cramping, they could come and go, you dont have to be bleeding but if you are its a serious sign. When the embryo is attaching itself to the uterus wall you do get some slight cramping that feel like the begining stages of your period. Ectopic pregnancy give off cramps WAY MORE SEVERE than those! If you feel urs are not normal GO TO THE ER!!!

When i was pregnant i thought I was having a ectopic pregnancy because i had these horrible horrible pains that i would of the crawl up into a ball and lay down and cry from the pain and I was bleeding! I was 4 weeks pregnant by then and was afraid i was going to miscarry. they doctor said he was afraid that i was having an ectopic pregnancy and sent to the ER. At the ER they gave me an internal ultrasound where they stick this huge probe up ur vagina to see whats going on. Thank God it wasnt an ectopic pregnancy, what i had were cycst on my both of my ovaries and because of the hormornes of my pregnancy, they were leaking and as they leaked out they were getting covered in blood.

So i would suggest that if you have any slight doubt that you may have an ectopic pregnancy RUN TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM! thats what my doctor said because the earlier they can take care of it, the better the chance that you will not get ur fallopian tube removed!

Well first off its different for every women. I think it might also depend where the "ectopic pregnancy" is. For me it was in my left tube. I got what I thought was my normal period but when I was still bleeding after 10 days I knew something was wrong. I didnt have any pain until the 13th day of bleeding. Come to find out I had a tubal pregnancy on the verge of errupting. I had to have an emergency surgery right then and there. If you think that theres something wrong regardless if the pain is minor you should go to the ER. Better safe then sorry.

It could be a normal pregnancy but why take the chance...you should get checked out. With ectopics cramps/pain can subside after the tube ruptures, causing internal bleeding and which can be fatal if not treated. Go to an emergency room asap! Better to be safe....

The pain can come and go initially, getting worse over hours or days. You should not expect bleeding. The bleeding is internal, which is why it's so dangerous. Dizziness and a rapid heart rate means you have already suffered severe blood loss--don't let it get to this point!! There is no "normal" cramping in early pregnancy. Call your local hospital right away.

Please take any signs that you are feeling seriously. The first sign that you will feel is either a horrible feeling of constipation or the inability to stand up from a sitting position comfortably. If you have tested positive for a pregnancy - please do not worry about ectopic yet - unless you have the above symptoms. If you have any vaginal bleeding please see you obgyn immediately. We all worry about the first few weeks but a great obgyn is your best bet. The first few weeks of pregnancy will include you body getting used to hormonal changes. Again - keep your obgyn informed and get what to expect while expecting.

usually the cramping would be in one side of the other. your doctor would be able to tell with a vaginal ultrasound/sonogram. but i would say if your levels are increasing like that, you are probably ok. i had cramps with my last pregnancy and i know others who cramped the entire time and carried normally. good luck to you!!
