it is dark inside and the person is dark in the dark, so it all looks dark, if the person were glowing, they could see them. It doesn't matter if you are in the dark or light, you can see people in light.

Our eyes don't see the people, they see the light bouncing off of the people. The person in the dark room doesn't reflect enough light compared with the reflection of light off of the glass, so you can't see them.

Inside the darkened room there is not much light to reflect off of the inside of the glass, so the light bouncing off of the person outside comes in.

Simple -- The person outside is illuminated by sunlight, the person in the dark room is not. Light must bounce off something for it to be seen.

It's primarily due to the reflective quality of the light on the window looking in, however, our eyes are subject to a limited dynamic range of light as well, and if the light inside is very limited and it is very bright outside, it may fall outside of this range.

when we want to see anything, the light reflected from that object must enter our eyes.in this case,as the person is standing outside, light falls on him and gets reflected and enters our eyes.hence, the person in the dark can see him.whereas, the person in the dark does not have any light falling on him.hence, the person standing outside cannot see him.

Hi Mothsand!
You are asking a good question.
Our eyes gets image otherthan us when there is some lightening. For example, I ask an question.
Will U see in the dark? Is it possible?
I know it is impossible. Hence if we want to see the world there must be lightening. Otherwise we can't see anything.
This is the process included in your question.
