why is it in todays society, that it is acceptable for a 11 or 12 year old girls to date or do whatnot with boys?
i have four sisters all younger than me, me and my father are very respectful to the girls in my family and i dont have any issues with them liking boys at a young age. BTW im only 21.
but is it wrong of me to think this?

i honestly think that at that age they can have the little your my boyfriend at school and we never go out on dates type of thing. i had a boyfriend at age 13 but it was very unhealthy....girls are so nieve at that age so i really feel that they should be watched very closely. but it really depends on the parents and the trust they have for their children.

I started dating when I was 11, and thats because no one ever told me I couldn't. I'm perfectly fine now [15]. Good grades in school, never stay out late. Some 11 and 12 year olds are not mature enough though. I think it's ok, as long as the parent is having sex talks with them.

Well if the boys are the same age, and it's just stuff like in the house, or playing outside, the kid will think they are "dating" but it's really more of a friend type thing. Everybody has had the "boyfriend in kindergarten" parent's just think it's cute.

It's not acceptable to ME as a parent. Todays society does not raise my child. I think it's pathetic that 11 or 12 year old girls are worried about "boyfriends" and such. And then lets wonder why they're pregnant at age 13? Can I get a collective...."Hmmmmm....???!!!" It's up to the parent to teach right from wrong, to teach morals and self-respect. If that means letting your child.... your CHILD... date... then more power to you. But he/she ain't datin' MY kids! lol

OK! Look it is completely natural for a 12 yr old girl to like boys and want to date! Hormones and Puberty start at 9!

no i think you are right about the age thing. 11 or 12 year olds shouldnt be dating despite what they think. they are too young and have a lot of learning to do.

If the parent allows it the child will do whatever they want. My child would never even think about dating right now and she is 14. I set the rules right from the beginning. I'm the mama I'm the boss!

Theres nothing wrong with liking and being friends just aslong as they are not being fresh then pop they lil azz.
I grew up with boys so im kinda ruff now...Let her go play with them itll help her out in the future. but like i said if you catch he bein nasty u finna get that switch..lol

well, girls mature much more quickly than boys,
so sometimes girl can handle relationships better at younger ages
