Most likely not because RE5 is supposed to be released in 2008 and by that time, the PS2 is on it's way to the grave.

sony dose not plan to discontinue ps2 games quite yet ,but a game a saught after as res evil 5 will most likly only be available on ps3 . they gota get you to buy a ps3 some how

maybe after all most people won't be able to afford the new systems, and thus the companies might see money loss and start selling them slightly modified for the less powerful systems
