Who all there think that whitney houston is the greastest vocalist singer of all time.?

I know whitney's voice is not up to par like it used to be in the 80's and 90's because of drugs and such. But let's just say she didn't do those drugs and her voice was in tip top shape, would you still think she was the greastest vocalist of all time because I think her voice has power, range, and all the above (back then)

back then, yes. now, no. mariah carey and a few others have just as much, if not more, range.

All time? Like, there was never anyone else EVER that had a voice as good as hers? No.

Excuse me, but does Whitney Houston even have good range? I don't think so. I think she has good strength, breath, and vibrato, but no range to speak of.

In "Greatest Love Of All", she sings this lyric:
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

That's about the lowest I've heard her sing and it is very very contrived. There's nothing natural about it.

She's the greatest if we're going to compare her to Madonna, Britney Spears and the Pussycat Dolls, but any opera-trained singer, even the ones that aren't famous, have voices that are superior to hers. Of course, if opera isn't your gig (it isn't mine either), that makes it harder to listen to, but no-she's not the greatest, not by a long shot.
