I wonder if how many people think Iranians are the enemy?

Right, just the leadership. But where the leadership goes, the people follow.

And I wouldn't even characterize them so much as anti-western as anti-Israeli - geez, can they give that a rest and just help Palestine get a government going that's not based SOLELY on wiping Israel off the map?

I don't, I think ahmedinejad is the enemy and I hope the iranian people get sick of him and get rid of him and the mullahs. Over the last 10 years I've gotten the sense that the Iranian people EVEN like Americans. When we played them in the world cup in 1998 they seemed genuinely friendly towards our team.

Thank you for asking. I'm American and I realize the Iranian people are not the enemy. I know many of my fellow Americans do not agree with me, and I'm sad about that. I think the enemy is greed and ignorance.

Of course we know that. They're ordinary, every day individuals with lives and families, just like us. And I hope they know that we westerners aren't anti Iranian, either. The Extremists on all fronts are the enemies of us all. It's what keeps us all divided.

I don't think anyone thinks the average Iranian is like that but we do question the Iranian government and why so many Iranians are fighting the U.S. in stabilizing Iraq.

You're right most Iranians listen to western music, and also grasp much of western culture, It's unfortunate that they have the government in power that makes most of those things illegal. Iran could be a major ally in that area if it wasn't for their government.

I don't consider anyone an enemy of mine. Please understand that most people in the US get their information from newspapers and television media, which is politically biased. When our government wants to justify a war, the news portrays that country and it's people in a negative way. We only hear what they want us to hear, and opinions are developed by nothing more than the stories we see on televison, and read in the newspaper. We rarely see stories that depict ordinary individuals like ourselves, just trying to live peaceful lives, raise their children, and follow their religious principals. Intelligent people, however, do realize that the overwhelming majority of people everywhere only want to live in harmony with others.

On behalf of all of the intelligent people, I offer my respects to you, and thank you for reminding us of the truth.
