My Color is "White;" What is my Race?

Question

Is "white" really a race? There are "white" Spaniards, Italians, Jews, etc. plus a whole gamut of "Euros." Am Scots-Irish and Native American ehtnically/nationally, but do North Americans belong to any "race?"

There are a few different races that are considered white. Anglo Saxons are the ones that come from Britain. Arians are more of a Germanic race. Some middle eastern races are also considered white but definitely not Anglo or Arian. The white races are usually just combined into the caucasian grouping because most people don't really care that much about racial differences among whites. I don't know why there is such a fuss made about non-white races. In the end, we are all of the human race.

Caucasian or White is the race - Italian, Jewish, Spanish, Danish etc is your cultural and ethnic background. Many north Americans Identify with the cultural traditions of their family as do people from across the globe. Some people identify their whiteness as a race but overall, because caucasians are made up of so many ethnicities and backgrounds, the idea of a white race is pretty much obsolete, in my opinion.

Your race is determined by who would hate you on sight. You can belong to any damn group you want but at the end of the day will that one accept you as their own? That's the test. If you look white then there you are.

There are few true Whites, Blacks, etc. As peoples have mixed over thousands of years.
They tend to go back to their own, but we always have the genes come out here and there.
