There was a question like this on the game show Russian Roulette. It was "What is the average clothing size of women in the United States?" The contestant had gotten the answer wrong. She/he answered 12, but the real answer is 14.

I was just watching Dr. Keith Ablo today and it was a show about being overweight in hollywood - anyway, they said the average size for a woman in america is 10 - 12 .. Which jean sizes vary so much because of height, cut.. all kinds of things - I personally can wear anything from a 4 to a 10 - and Im 5'2 .. so it just depends.

I don't know about jean but I think the overall size of women in the US is 14.

The average American woman is 5'4", weighs 152 pounds and wears size 12 to 14 jeans (in Levis or Gap styles).
This covers all ages.

I feel this country is coming to a standard where the average size should be a frickin' size 3. Pathetic. Woman should be wholesome and curvy. It SHOULD be more of a size 12 or 14.
I'm not sure what it is for real, sorry.

If I had to guess I'd say it's around a size 10 or 12.
