Also what is the best hotel to stay in? I am booking the trip on cheaptickets.com and i have seen alot of choices but im afraid of choosing somewhere where there isnt alot to do or see...also i dont want to stay for 7 days and have to stretch every little penny i have in order to survive lol. I just want to be comfortable. Im 21 by the way with no kids just my female friend and i are going...clubs, hotels, transportation, food, drinks, shopping(thrift, small stores,), beaches...lots of info needed!

There are many great things to see in this area. South Beach definitely should be at the top of that list since it is one of the most notorious locations in the United States!

Not sure if you are going to have a car when you get here or not, but if so, you might be able to save some money by staying outside of south beach, more towards sunny isles area. It is just a few miles North of south beach.

Sometimes you can get amazing deals by using hotwire.com too. I have saved a ton on things by going through them and taking their random deals. Priceline is good too.

When you get to south beach, there are different areas. Lincoln Street is a main drag off of A1A. This is a shopping/restaurant/street performer area about one block in from the beach. The food here is pretty reasonable. I would suggest either eating in this area, or Espanol Way which is about three blocks south of here. You will get monsterous meals for a fair price. Unlike other areas of this town :)

There is a very famous area called Deco Drive. This is where the historic hotels and beachfront areas are for South Beach. This is a couple of miles down from Lincoln and a must see. Food here is OUTRAGEOUS in price, so be careful. I have gotten 35 dollar hamburgers here. be very careful hehe. This however is where you will want to head for beach time

There also is Washington Street. This is where a lot of the clubs are. it is definitely worth the experience to go here and people watch for an evening. Some clubs have cover charges and some do not. I can't remember who is who though. You'll have to go around and check.

It is a great area to see, I think you will love it here.

im sorry i really cant help you out with hotels but, miami is sooo nice my brother lives there so i go to visit him a couple times a year. i love it there. what i can help you out with is some night clubs you should DEFFINATELY check out, such as The Pawn Shop, and Perty's lounge. and for a restaurant would be Shutgers, its on the intercoastal waterway... cool places. and south beach has tons of things that will keep you occupied. hopefully you have lotssss of fun. good luck and bring extra money things can get expensive there.

the nash hotel is really nice...it's one block away from the beach on collins ave...if u stay on the beach, it can get a little pricey. beware of the pricey food on the strip...there are a lot of outdoor restaurants that can be expensive. u should go to fat tuesdays, and club bed for clubbin...there is a lot more clubbin than that but those were the only ones i went to when i was there, and it was a lot of fun.

Anywhere on SoBe will be within walking distance of a "lot to do." But it will NOT be cheap. Washington Ave., & the west side of SoBe (Alton Road & West Ave.) have some local restaurants & food stands that are more "normally" priced & pretty good.
