Not really, unless you consider NASCAR a sport. Obsession with sports is not limited to any class. Many well-off people are obsessed with sports, buy huge collections of sports memorabilia, buy sports teams, etc.
It does however suggest that you are a conformist. Mainstream media, and probably your friends as well, inflate the importance of sporting events almost as if it actually mattered in their lives, when in reality, it only matters to the extent that they let it.
There are many ways of entertaining yourself... why put your energy into watching others play a children's game and riding that emotional roller-coaster of success and failure? The answer usually is "because it's entertainment" or "so I can talk with my friends about it", which basically means that it is either filler or something they must do to conform with their peer group. Sports is merely entertainment and to fill your life completely with it suggests that you have no life, are a tool of the mainstream media, a corporate whore, etc.
