there are lot of mp3 converters in the internet. but the best i have found is windows media player ver10 or above.

Depending on what format the current audio tracks are in. some players might already have a built in converter that you might have overlooked. But there are plenty of programs out there that can read the current format your audio tracks are in and convert them into format of your choice

My personal Fav has got to be Cool Edit. Somewhat of a steep learning curve but very robust.

** Follow up ** looks like Adobe has acquired this product and renamed it to Adobe Audition. But you can probably do a search for the older version which works perfectly fine. Cool Edit Pro 1.2a.

You can use Windows media player to Rip the music (meaning to change the format to mp3) or you can use other software...
Personally I use Nero 7 Ultra for all my music and conversion needs...just about... ;-)
